Yes that’s the problem about the USA. They spend too much money. Their operations in Iraq and Afghanistan has yet alone corrupted their economy. If they were to ever to enter a major war, they wouldn’t be able to afford it. Their “advances” in technology are very expensive, and they wouldn’t be able to use them in real life due to the price. Things like Javelins are too expensive, and they’d have to fight with basic warfare, or else they risk their economy.

I think calligraphy pens would come in handy in this war because if you’ll notice, Arabic writing is written that way. Marines could learn Arabic & then communicate with the enemy via signs. Say a suicide bomber is driving towards you. You could hold up a sign saying in Arabic “Not Right Now Please” or “Carpet Sale That Way”. I bet even a suicide bomber wouldn’t pass up a Persian carpet sale. The calligraphy pens might also prove valuable as a bartering tool if captured, or as a pointy weapon.
