    Michael Wittmann was not the greatest tank ace of WW2, but indeed one of the greatest!

    though the best tank ace of history is Kurt knispel with a conformed destruction of 186 killed tanks, he was commander of a King tiger tank “Konigstiger” (Tiger II) and saw action on the eastern front in the 503rd heavy Panzerabteilung and 102 SS Heavy panzerbattalion!

    the 102 SS heavy Panzerbattalion (outfitted with 45 Tiger 2s) killed 500 enemy tanks and lost only 39 King Tigers. very successfully!

The Krauts cannot admit USA strategy undermined their invincible German weapons and the will of the German people. At end of war Hitler ordered the destruction of the infrastrucure of Germany. Hitler said the German people have betrayed him by not fighting had enough. Hitlers madness was to destroy German power plants, hospitals, bridges, roads & sources that promote the people including the murder of Germans.

    My comments drive home the point with humor, some of the remarks made to me R quite rude. Saying Americans write the Victors History is unfair & most of them are unaware if USA had let Russia have its way Germany would not exist today. There is not 1 trubute to Germanys real heroes like Oscar Schindler. How about Sophie & Hans Scholl who sacrificed their lives rather than subit to Nazism. Most Nazis here are unaware Hitler want to destroy Germany because he beleived the German people failed him.
