   The guy with the stupid bolt action and panzerfaust says it all. They got everybody on the same page but failed to get their personal weapons right until it was too late. If the Germans had airdropped a bunch MP 44s and ammo at the beginning of Stalingrad things might have been different. The same can be said of the 5.56 nato round. The ordinary soldier is forever at the mercy of the muckety mucks – personally having been there done that, i’d think twice before signing the papers.

    good thoughts there randy…mostly true… it a difficult balance between developing technological advantages v’s practical simpler equipment..
    the usa built the M26 Pershing tank to finally counter this amazing battle vehicle..
    Poor shermans (the basic AFV) were absolutely hammered as was the russian t-34

    Tiger was too …
    Tiger was too expensive, in materials and man-hours to produce. Tiger was over engineered and complex to deploy and maintain in large numbers. Tiger was however AWESOME and a great propoganda piece. Building over complex and “cool” weapons probably helped the allies win a war that came down to numbers and attrition…

    Just my opinion.

    abrams kinda suck most of the countries use german technology in there tanks im pretty sure only britain and russia dont use the german gun ( im probably missing one) even though ww2 tanks are magnificant it wont do much against an adram coz even when the tiger egts 2 meters up to that tanks the shells will do jack . abram wins and then leopard beats abram

    Automaticaly, the Tiger tanks already won. How the heck can an Abrams store 100 rounds big enough to destroy the Tiger? Sure, maybe the Abrams can destroy 55 or so of the Tigers, but it would have no ammo left to destroy the others. ONE Abrams must DESTROY 100 FRICKIN TIGER TANKS! THE TIGERS OBVIOUSLY WON!
