women in combat, how long will it take for military to "mass accept" women into frontlines?
Some people believe that women aren’t still allowed to be in direct combat unit in the military.
that’s not true.
it is true that we dont officially "MASS ACCEPT" women into combat units, but we have several women serving in the infantry, tank, artillery, and also pilot.
I talked with a staff sergeant and he told me that his batallion was a hardcore infantry batallion and there are 19 women in there, and they are really good fighters and killing machines in the frontlines.
What my question is, in your hypothesis, how long will it take for military to MASS ACCEPT women into combat units?
i bet with in 20 years, they will do that.
Your question should be how lon will it take Congress (and by proxy the American voter) to accept them…
They make the rules (not the military) …we only live with the rules…
Medic or infantry? enlisting in 2 weeks!?
i am deciding whether I should go into infantry or be a medic [69w]. my recruiter told me that a medic has the best chance of going into special forces in the future, is this true? also, he said that he will attach me to an infantry batallion as a medic. my question is, would I still get to kick down doors with the infantry or no? he said that i will be in the fight of saving soldiers lives and not fighting the war. If i enlist as a medic for the infantry, what should I be expecting? thanks in advance, enlisting in 2 weeks!! please help
My husband is a 68w and he was a line medic for an infantry unit (currently an aid station medic in the infantry unit). As far as if you will be kicking down doors that really depends, most of the time they want to protect the medic since your their life line. Also you could end up being an evac medic or an aid station medic if your attached to an infantry unit. My husband has deployed twice and has never had to fire his weapon, not to say the guys around him haven’t but he’s been more concerned about the men around him. You can go for Special forces, I know its extremely hard to get into it. I have met a lot of medics who have gone through and have not made the grade. If you want to kick down doors then infantry is your best bet, also they promote ALOT fast then medics, just last month the points for an E-6 was a 200 point difference. However, medic is a great career starter if your looking for something you could take outside the military. Lots to think about
