Beer pong tables – Get over it

Who knew that beer pong would get so crazy popular? I mean it just started out in Beruit during the 50′s and now it’s a huge phenomenon played by almost everyone who’s been to a party. And who hasn’t seen beer pong tables these days?

To begin with, the game had paddles, but now people just play with the balls minus the paddles. Which is pretty weird because there’s no “rebuttal” of a live ball. You have to throw, recover the ball, then throw again. But in ping pong, you go back and forth.

Object of the game: The object of beer pong is to eliminate all of the beer cups on your opponents side of the table before they can eliminate yours. When you throw or bounce the ping pong ball and it lands in an opponents cup the opponent must eliminate that cup from the playing field by drinking the beer inside the cup (the cups are usually to 1/3 full.) The team who has all their cups eliminated first is the loser and must then drink all the beer remaining in the cups on the winning side of the table.

It’s pretty easy to get a game of beer pong going because it only needs 2 people, and 4 people at the maximum. You can play with just one person on either side, or you can play with teams of 2 people on either side. And you just take turns throwing.
