   G’day junglecruise1911 just to let you know there is a movie about the 39th Bn on the Kokoda track. I am not sure if it has been released in the US. You can see some of it on youtube just type in kokoda. keep your powder dry Bro. Best wishes AcoyRazorback.

   They were. Our unit primarily represents 39 CMF, but also does a late war impression as 2/15 AIF for Bougainville. The CHG wanted to set the PTO event in 1944 so the Marines could come out as well.

   No complaints here!

   The 39th militia Bn was disbanded befor 1944. It may be the 2/39th Bn. just finnished reading Kakoda by Peter Fitzsimons a must read 39th milita slowed down. The best the japs had, out numberd 6to1 nearly no supplys and even less training. OJT at its most brutal
