women in combat, how long will it take for military to "mass accept" women into frontlines?

Some people believe that women aren’t still allowed to be in direct combat unit in the military.
that’s not true.
it is true that we dont officially "MASS ACCEPT" women into combat units, but we have several women serving in the infantry, tank, artillery, and also pilot.
I talked with a staff sergeant and he told me that his batallion was a hardcore infantry batallion and there are 19 women in there, and they are really good fighters and killing machines in the frontlines.

What my question is, in your hypothesis, how long will it take for military to MASS ACCEPT women into combat units?

i bet with in 20 years, they will do that.

Your question should be how lon will it take Congress (and by proxy the American voter) to accept them…

They make the rules (not the military) …we only live with the rules…

  2. uh what country’s military was that staff sergeant from? if it was the US military, he was blowing smoke up your ass.
women do not, and can not, serve as infantry, tankers, or artillery. there are female pilots. there are MOSs that females can be part of that might go out with the infantry, but they are not infantry themselves. women can be medics and MPs, which if the infantry ever needs to search a female they will use a female from one of those 2 MOSs (unless its just blatently not possible for that situation). but your MOS cant be infantry, tanker, cav scout, artillery, etc if you are a chick. and i doubt they are literally killing machines, sounds like a term from a leg unit for anyone who’s highspeed.
as far as women being mass accepted into those units, never. women arent built for carrying a 200 lb man, his 60 lbs of gear, and their own 60 lbs of gear, and cant really stay hygenic if they had to go 1 or 2 weeks without a shower. and for each women who wants to be on the line, there is another who would complain her ass off if she had to ahve the same standards that the men in the military have.

  3. I seriously don’t know if they ever will because women CAN’T handle the frontlines. I am a woman and a former US Marine so I am all for women protecting our country, but I am NOT for women getting MEN killed. THat’s right. Most women do not possess the mental faculty to become a hardened killer or the PHYSICAL ability. How many women do you know can hump with a 150lbs+ pack on while wearing full NBC gear in 100 degree heat for miles and miles. I don’t know too many women that can do that. Just remember we are talking about women that can mentally and physically do the job of our strong, hardened men on the frontlines.

Maybe women can play a role but NOT mass acceptance. Try to understand what exactly these men go through in order to face the frontlines. It seems you don’t have a clue!

  4. Female are not allowed direct combat MOSs and not units. The specific occupation of each military personnel (ie MP, infantry, comm, intel, etc.) does not allow females to be in infantry or Special Forces. Since a battallion consists of many companies, it is possible for them to be in a battallion as support yet not allowed to be in a certain MOS.
In Iraq and Afghanistan, there are no definite ‘front lines" and many females have proven themselves in combat. It’s not about being accepted, they are all our sisters, but it’s about the federal gov’t allowing it. You need to understand that the military is very conservative and it will take a longer time then just 20 yrs.

  5. First, woman may be in an infantry battalion, but only in a support role. They DO NOT fight on the front line. They are not in a combat role. Woman are not allowed in the infantry. For one they would never be able to handle the training. Training is very hard core and even the strongest of women will have a hard time. Many men cannot handle the training.Their training for other basic training is watered down. I know this first hand because I had two sons go infantry and one that had COED basic and they were totally different. I do believe that there are many roles that women do very well in the military and they are "mass accepted"

Men and women are different that that should be celebrated not made to the point that we all have the same abilities.

For the record I am female. I am not weak, but strong and I do know that I have limits in my abilities as such. I enjoy being being treated like a lady!!
