    that one game and along with Silent Scope are the only two reasons I considered buying an Xbox last gen. This game has always looked super sick. I just wish they would put the controller to use with a battletech or Mechwarrior game. preferrably battletech.

    Trust me. If you had a 5.1 surround sound and with the bass LOUD it would get to the point of rattling my house. Every footstep would shake everything it was an experience. And about the camera I know what you mean, it does go up and down with your movement and such. But not to the point of where it would get nauseating. Look up more vids. There are quite a few of mechs in this game and the sequel and everyone of them drives, sounds, feels, etc, differently.

    Hm, alright.
    But I kind of would like it to have these more heavy thumps and mechanical robotic sounds and such things.
    You know what I mean if you remember or look at ‘MechWarrior’, unless I confused it with another game.

    But for the camera-movement, I like it to be more ehm… kind of flowing up and down, not too crazy, just kind of moving along with the walk to simulate as if you’re really dragging along tons of steel.

    I already don’t like a fixed movement in FPSes, so go figure. :P

    And about the camera movement they actually explain it in the manual that in the pit there is this buffer foam that would make it super stable so it wouldn’t always be all shaky. And in the online sequel if you turned off one of the start up toggles it would make the camera like SUPER jerky and crazy, making it impossible to play, giving the in feel of something like the buffer foam actually being there.

    When I had my sound system at a loud volume the sound was actually really impressive. All the little beeps and boops and whatnot. In the sequel when you shift to the 5th gear you would deploy wheels and roll around haha.

    Wow, the walking-sound is lame, it was more impressive with the older ‘MechWarrior’-games on the PC.
    Now THAT they should do another one of, less arcade and more simulator, great singleplay and multiplay, with a controller like that, especially for PC.

    Hm, even the camera-movement isn’t that realistic, it’s like just shoving over the floor, while it should shake the whole thing a lot more.
    Shakes less than a soldier on foot his view…

    The Wii rumour was a prank, the day it was published is kinda like the Japanese version of “April 1st”, i.e. newspapers etc are allowed to do outright jokes, even COMPANIES themselves, however, on a completely seperate day, a very reliable and good Japanese magazine(NOT Famitsu, but PROPER journalists), stated that there are rumours floating about regarding a sequel to Steel Battalion being in the works for the XB360.

    Considering the fact SB sold extremely well it makes sense.

    Dont know where you read that buddy but the rumor going is that there is a sequel in the works for the 360 and to have a new wireless controller with it. No word if the previous one is able to be used with an adapter or something.

    Holy crap that would be! Or perhaps if there was an XBLA release of Virtual-On and then you could use this controller. I think that this controller/game looks ahead of its time.

    i have steel battalion as well one thing i wished is that there was an adapter for 360 and made it work with Chromehounnds that would be ing amazing
