Question Regarding military pay?

Alright well my husband leave tomorrow for BCT in GA.
While he is at, the reception batallion is that still part of the pay week??
And will he get paid in 2 weeks??
Thanks,

Don’t count on getting paid right away. It took them 8 weeks to get my husbands direct deposit set up. Of course the next paycheck was huge because they got us all that back pay. Make sure you have a plan just in case he doesn’t get paid right away. He will start getting paid as soon as he is there, but when he gets paid will just depend on how fast they get his information processed.

  1. Yes, and yes. Although don’t count on that first check. Setting up his pay with finance might run into some hiccups. He will still get paid for that time, it just might not come after the first two week period. It should, though.

  2. Your husband starts his paycheck the day he gets on the plane/bus whatever to go to Basic Training. This is the 3rd of March so you may actually see a check on the 15th if you’re lucky. If not, then you’ll definitely get your first one on the 1st of April.

  4. as long as he is in the base it does not matter what he is doing, he will get paid for the first 2 weeks.

  5. It can take up to 8 weeks after they report to BCT for them to get their first direct deposit. So if he reports on March 15th he more than likely will not get paid until 15th of April at the earliest. I wouldn’t count on seeing anything until the 1st of May to be honest. He will get backpay to cover the time that they missed as pay is retroactive anyways. (1 May pay covers 1Apr-30 Apr) Pay will start accumulating the say he reports for BCT and it will not matter if he’s in reception or actually in training.

  7. Dont Plan On A First Pay Check.. IT took my husband over a month before we got our first.. he started reception jan 27th and we didint get our first check til the 1st of march.. Apparently if your solider is married and stuff it takes longer to process all the papers… And yes he does get paid for reception.. Thank god lol…
