  3. no offense to the …
no offense to the Marines, but this is a US Army gun. Look at the sleeves and the helmet bands. I ain’t making this up.
Any 13 B’s out there ever fire a 5 white bag soacked in diesel with no projo? works wonders on perimeter defense.

  4. That’s called slap …
That’s called slap firing, if I remember correctly. The firing lock in the center of the breech comes equipped with a loop to which you attach a piece of rope called a lanyard. Pulling the lanyard snaps the firing lock on the primer, which detonates the propellant. At low charges (green bag) it’s not too dangerous to dispense with the lanyard and just flipped the lever with your hand.

Large caliber tube artillery uses unfixed ammo to save on weight and because charge sizes vary so much.

  5. What do they pull …

    And whats the …
And whats the advantage in using charge bags rather than having a normal brass casing?

  13. Sounds like Charge …
Sounds like Charge 4 greenbag. Green goes up to 5 as low as 3. Yeah, it’s loud enough for earplugs but I would only wear one facing the blast. Chrg 7 whitebag is really loud, but my favorite was Super 8 redbag. You shoot this with a 50 ft lanyard because the blast wave can damage you internally.(supposedly) I Slapped(like the video) fired over a dozen of them during Desert Storm. I thought the whole tube was gonna fly out. That redbag was strong. The War was short.
