Russian Artillery Systems
MSTA-S, 2s9 “Nona”, 2s31 “Vena”, MSTA-B, Bm-21 “Grad”, and Bm-30 “Smerch” are featured.
Russian Artillery and indeed the military itself was kindled in the fires of World War Two.
Over 130,000 tons of Soviet artillery was dropped on Nazi Germany and its forces, while the second largest amount artillery during the second world war is claimed by the U.K. at 16,000 tons fired. It is no doubt that Russia is the pioneer of artillery as we know it.
As Russian artillery evolved to fight an even greater war fantastic systems were created such as the Bm-27 “Uragan”
and the 2s3 “Akatsia”.
Today Russia’s artillery system is second to none with the worlds largest number of various systems totaling more than 15,200 pieces. Closest competitor is China with 12,000 pieces.

Airfields are prime …
Airfields are prime targets for strategic missiles which russia has alot of.
if the planes have nowhere to land, refuel and rearm, they’re useless.

Im not really …
Im not really worried about the tanks. Germans have that covered hands down the leopard two latest model. Nuff said.
Maybe you should …
Maybe you should read more carefully, i never said ground force aren’t flexible i said that they are not as flexable as Air force, when it comes time for war, what do you think transports all weapons, ammo, troops? Planes do. What drops bombs so precisely taking out radar stations, artilery, and surface to air missile sites without casualties? stealthy planes thats what. Learn from the arab israeli war, airpower=dominance. But we obviously have different opinions so to each his own.
And who are you to …
And who are you to judge what I do and where I live? You think land forces are not flexible? Well let’s review. They can stand almost any conditions. Can accomplish missions that range from capturing to destroying to recon and can combat ANY threat be it air land or sea borne. You can only remain in the sky until the fuel runs out. Wars are won by the guys on the ground not those above it. I’ve never heard of a pilot putting up his country’s flag on a conquered site.Don’t forget about the rain.
You live in USA but …
You live in USA but support Russias military?? You are a traitor to both sides and you dont diserve to live in either of these great countries, And who made you the 5 star general saying ground forces are more flexable because they arent. Whoever rules the sky rules the land.
Ohh will it now? …
Ohh will it now? You know Russian equipment is rather notorious for NOT breaking…unlike some other certain pieces i could name. Besides every peice of that artillery can be loaded manually and the crews are trained to do just that. Think about about how long does it take to train one to use an AUTO-loader? So I wouldn’t be surprised if a large portion of the training is spent teaching them what to do if the thing does break. But it won’t.
Right worst …
Right worst nightmare. Until it starts raining that is right? You do realize that your f-22 is a glass canon so to speak. It’s vulnerable to rain and harsh conditions in general. And you don’t get much harsher then Russian climate. Besides Russia has some of the best of not the best anti-air weapons. See you if a military begins to rely too much on an aspect such as air forces or naval forces the flaws are very clear. Ground forces are far more flexible and can be used to counter most threats.
yes my friend we …
yes my friend we will see what will happen…
Soon… in august …
Soon… in august in Russia there will be an event called MAKS iirc. That’s where you will see (once again btw) the superiority of russian planes over US ones. In 2007 US failed miserably.
haha where do you …
haha where do you get your information from dumbass yahoo answers lol? our main fleet is f-18 superhornets dumb ! just one squad of those planes would up any reverse engineered ty russian plane, oh yeah funny you bring up the f-22 because a f-22 would up your most ‘advanced plane’ all the su 47 is good for is manuvering, but when the f-22 spots the su 37 long before the su spots the f-22 due to our stealth and long range radar well f-22= Russias worst nightmare. be scared
What about US using …
What about US using their old cold war F 16 as their main fighter force ? Yeah so much moaning about F22 and F35 and the real deal is – the largest fighter jets force of US is made of 20-30 year old jets. Up your ing , you brainwashed moron.
HAHA I’m sure that …
HAHA I’m sure that most of you have no clue about field artillery, but just because it’s a bigger gun doesn’ make it better, and those autoloader systems can go to , whats the crew going to do when it breaks in the field, and it will
